1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ExpensesNote, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These Terms apply to all users of the App.

2. Description of Service

2.1 What Is ExpensesNote

ExpensesNote is a personal finance tracking mobile application that allows you to:

• Record and manage daily income and expenses
• Create and track monthly budgets
• Manage loans (money given to or borrowed from others)
• View financial summaries through charts and reports
• Export financial data as PDF reports
• Back up and restore your financial data

2.2 Offline-First Application

ExpensesNote is designed to work offline. All core features function without an internet connection. An internet connection is only required for the optional Google Drive backup and restore feature.

3. User Accounts and Authentication

3.1 No Account Required

ExpensesNote does not require you to create an account to use the App. All features are accessible without registration or sign-in.

3.2 Optional Google Sign-In

You may optionally sign in with your Google account to enable the Google Drive backup feature. By choosing to use Google Sign-In:

• You agree to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
• You grant the App permission to create and manage files in your Google Drive that were created by the App
• The App will only access files it has created and will not read or modify any other files in your Google Drive
• You may revoke this access at any time through your Google Account settings

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Your Data

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy and completeness of all financial data you enter into the App
• Maintaining regular backups of your data
• Protecting access to your device to prevent unauthorized access to your financial information
• Any actions taken through your Google account if you use the Google Drive backup feature

4.2 Device Security

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your device's operating system and security software up to date
• Using device security features such as screen locks, PINs, passwords, or biometric authentication
• Preventing unauthorized access to your device

4.3 Acceptable Use

You agree to use ExpensesNote only for its intended purpose — personal finance tracking. You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the App
• Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Ownership

ExpensesNote, including its original content, features, functionality, design, and underlying code, is owned by the developer and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 Your Data

You retain full ownership of all financial data you enter into the App. The developer does not claim any ownership or rights to your data.

5.3 Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, distribute, or reproduce the App in any form
• Use the App's name, logo, or branding without prior written permission
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices in the App

6. Data Backup and Restoration

6.1 Backup Options

ExpensesNote provides two backup options:

1. Local Backup: Saves your database file to your device's local storage (Downloads folder)
2. Google Drive Backup: Uploads your database file to your Google Drive account (requires Google Sign-In)

6.2 Backup Reliability

While we strive to provide reliable backup functionality:

• We are not responsible for data loss due to device failure, accidental deletion, or any other cause
• We recommend maintaining regular backups and using multiple backup methods
• You are encouraged to use both local and Google Drive backups for maximum data safety

6.3 Auto-Backup

If you enable the auto-backup feature, the App will automatically create backups at your chosen frequency (daily, weekly, or monthly). Auto-backup requires that:

• For local backup: Sufficient storage space is available on your device
• For Google Drive backup: You are signed in with your Google account and have an active internet connection

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

7.1 As-Is Basis

ExpensesNote is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we make no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties of non-infringement
• Warranties that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or completely secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the App's features

7.2 Financial Advice Disclaimer

ExpensesNote is a tool for tracking personal finances. It is not financial advice, financial planning software, or a substitute for professional financial guidance. The App:

• Does not provide investment advice
• Does not provide tax advice
• Does not provide accounting or bookkeeping services
• Should not be relied upon as your sole financial record for legal or tax purposes

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

8.1 No Liability for Data Loss

We shall not be liable for any loss of data, including but not limited to financial records, transaction history, budgets, or loan records, regardless of the cause, including:

• App malfunction or errors
• Device failure, loss, or damage
• Failed backup or restore operations
• Google Drive service interruptions or data loss
• Any other cause beyond our control

8.2 No Liability for Financial Decisions

We shall not be liable for any financial losses, damages, or decisions made based on information tracked or displayed in the App.

8.3 Total Liability

In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the App, which is zero as ExpensesNote is a free application.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developer of ExpensesNote from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Any financial decisions made based on data tracked in the App

10. App Updates and Modifications

We may, from time to time, release updates, enhancements, or modifications to the App. These may include:
