2. Scope

This policy applies to the Dress Design Pilot App for Android (and any other platforms where we distribute the same App), as implemented in the version you install from the app store. Features may change over time; we will update this policy when material changes occur.

An up-to-date copy of this policy may also be published at https://www.afrinuad.com (or a subpage we link from the App and store listing).

3. Summary (quick read)

• The App is designed to work primarily on your device.
• We do not operate user login accounts for the App in the current version.
• Data you enter (such as measurement profiles and preferences) is stored locally on your device using the device’s app storage, not sent to our servers by the App itself.
• You can delete saved measurement profiles inside the App. You can also remove all App data through your device settings (Android: App info → Storage → Clear data), which erases locally stored App data.

If we later add online features, analytics, or third-party services, we will update this policy and your app store disclosures to match.

4. Information the App may process

4.1 Information you provide in the App

• Measurement values and optional profile names you save as “measurement profiles”.
• Content you enter while building or viewing dress guides (for example, custom dress names, variables, and rules you type while using the custom dress builder).
• Language or display preferences you select in the App.

4.2 Information stored automatically on your device

• App settings such as selected language and similar UI preferences may be stored locally so the App can remember your choices between sessions.

4.3 Information we do not intentionally collect through the App (current version)

The version of the App aligned with this document does not require you to create an online account with us to use core features, and is not designed to upload your measurement profiles to our servers as part of normal operation.

If you contact us by email, we will receive whatever information you choose to include in your message (for example, your email address and the contents of your email).

5. How information is stored and retained

5.1 Local storage on your device

Saved measurement profiles and certain preferences are stored on your device using the App’s local storage mechanism. This data remains on your device unless you delete it or uninstall the App.

5.2 Custom dress definitions (session behavior)

Custom dress entries you add during use may be held in the App’s working memory so you can browse them in the same session. Depending on your device and how you use the App, such entries may not remain after the App process is fully closed or the App data is cleared. Measurement profiles saved through the save feature are intended to persist on your device until you delete them or clear App data.

5.3 Uninstall

Uninstalling the App typically removes its local data from your device, subject to how your operating system handles app removal.

6. Use of information

We use the information processed by the App only to provide and improve the App’s functionality on your device, for example:

• to display dress guides, calculations, and instructions;
• to remember your saved profiles and preferences locally;
• to respond to support emails you send us.

We do not sell your personal information.

7. Sharing of information

7.1 No sale of personal data

We do not sell personal information.

7.2 Service providers and legal

If we use subprocessors in the future (for example, email hosting or crash reporting), we will describe them here and in your app store listing as required.

We may disclose information if required to do so by law or by a valid legal request, or to protect our rights, users, or the public where permitted by law.

7.3 App stores

Your use of the App is also subject to the app store provider’s terms and privacy practices (for example, Google Play).

8. Permissions and device access

The App is intended to operate without requesting sensitive device permissions for core features (such as location, camera, or contacts) in its default configuration. If a future version requests additional permissions, we will explain why in the App and update this policy.

9. Children’s privacy

The App provides general sewing and dressmaking guidance. It is not directed at children in the sense of collecting personal information from children without appropriate consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us through support channels, contact us at hello@afrinuad.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete such information where appropriate.

10. International users

If you use the App from outside the country where AfriNuad operates, your information may be processed in the country where you use the device and, if you email us, in the location from which we operate support.

11. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information (for example, access, correction, deletion, or objection). Because the current App stores most relevant data locally on your device, you can often exercise deletion directly in the App or by clearing App data in your device settings.

To exercise rights that apply to information held by us (for example, emails you sent to support), contact us at hello@afrinuad.com. We may need to verify your request as permitted by law.

12. Security

We design the App to keep user-entered data on the device for local-only features. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure; you should protect access to your device with a screen lock where appropriate.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at https://www.afrinuad.com (or as linked from the App) and revise the "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice as required by law or by app store rules (for example, in the App or store listing).
